Bed Breakfast Edward Island Prince: in PEI Light House Next to Camping PEI

West Point lighthouse has a Bed and Breakfast in it, but when I called ahead the room (in the lighthouse itself) was booked. So we walked around the icky beach and decided to go see the Potato Museum in O'Leary. Perhaps we can make it to Cavendish and get a Cavendish cottage PEI style.

We had just come from the Cap Egmont bottle houses and we're glad to arrive here in this serene setting.

When we were arriving in Halifax, Nova Scotia, we rode the shuttle to our accomodations with a couple who were going directly to Prince Edward Island the next day. Their vacation's focus was golf, which apparently is a great draw on the island. On our drive across the island we passed by many course golf PEI.

The are photos of the West Point light house PEI. It's too bad I didn't plan 7 months in advance and make reservations to stay at the bed breakfast Edward Island Prince that's in this lighthouse.

We could've found a Cavendish cottage PEI, but didn't look for one.

I'm truly surprised we didn't hear more about the diverse golf package PEI.

The museum had closed for the day, but we got a shot in front of a Big Spud in our Charlottetown Duds. On the way out of O'Leary we stopped at a roadside diner. Very empty...ask us about the Big Eric...it's a sandwich (we think).

On the way to the western side of the island, we drove through Kensington, home of the famous amusement park Rainbow Valley Prince Edward Island. I must've been too focused on getting to the Potato Museum, because we didn't realize how close we'd come to Rainbow Valley until after we'd already left the island. Oops, we missed PEI Rainbow Valley.

After leaving O'Leary, we finally reached a place that had a campground. The Sun and Shade campground is about 1/2 mile from the Confederation Bridge. Tomorrow, we go back to Nova Scotia (via New Brunswick). In case Continental can deliver our luggage to us by morning, I call from the payphone at the campground..."Houston, we have a problem."

Would've been nice to find a nice Cavendish PEI cottage.

Our next goal was to get back to Nova Scotia, but instead we stayed at a campground on the PEI (Prince Edward Island) side of the Confederation bridge.
